75 Simple Things To Do Each Day To Live A Better Life

Self improvement is something to never stop striving for! But sometimes we just don’t know what we need to do next. The purpose of my blog is to help others learn to live their best life and become their best self, so I sat and thought about the things that always make my days better (whether I’m good or not about doing them daily lol!). These daily things to do will help you to live a better life each day. When your day becomes better, you become better, ya know?

This list is filled with simple and easy to implement tips that will definitely improve each day of your life! It will teach you simple changes that will teach you how to love yourself, how to love your life, and how to fully embrace each day. Time to change your life for the better!

75 Daily Ways To Live A Better Life 

  1. Have something to look forward to when you wake up
  2. Wake up earlier 
  3. Wake up to a calming alarm (I use & love the app Sleep Cycle. It wakes you up gradually & when you’re in a light sleep so you’re not as tired!)
  4. Get up to your first alarm
  5. Wake up to natural sunlight (I always keep my shades a bit open to let in sunlight!)
  6. Drink of water when you wake up
  7. Make your bed
  8. Establish your goals for the day (Or use to-do list! Write them done on your phone or on paper to refer to it!)
  9. Treat yourself (Ex. Ice cream, coffee, a solo date night, cake)
  10. Stay hydrated throughout the day
  11. Decide on the focus of your day (Is it a productive day? A rest day? An adventure day?)
  12. Open all the blinds (Fill your life with LIGHT! 🙂 )
  13. Make time for something you love
  14. Take a break from social media

  15. Talk to someone you love
  16. Get ready (Even if it just means throwing on some clothes other than your PJ’s, or do your hair and a bit of makeup!) Check out my post on overnight, heatless beachy waves!
  17. Make time for down time
  18. Play an upbeat playlist
    1. Spotify makes playlists for you based on what you listen to!
  19. Prepare for your next day the night before 
  20. Spend time outside
  21. Try something new to improve yourself (I like to try new skincare, makeup, or hairstyles!)

  22. Take a break from your phone
  23. Have alone time
  24. Do your ‘hardest’ chores in the morning (This is when you’re most productive!)
  25. Eat breakfast 
  26. Exercise (You can find lots of YouTube workouts if you need some! I recommend Chloe Ting!)
  27. Watch an inspirational video or read an inspirational book
  28. Do something productive 
  29. Always stay motivated & inspired (It lifts your mood!)

  30. Reach out to someone you haven’t talked to in a while
  31. Get out of the house (Even if it’s just going for a drive!)
  32. Do something that inspires or fulfills you
  33. Create a bucket list & do something on it
  34. Sit in the sun
  35. Appreciate nature
  36. Say 3 things you’re thankful for
  37. Try something new (Maybe a recipe or DIY!)

  39. Socialize without your phone
  40. Make time for hobbies (Art, gardening…whatever it may be!)
  41. Clean something (It will make you feel better!)
  42. Watch an episode of a show you love

  44. Turn your phone off an hour before you go to bed (I recommend setting app limits in the phone settings to help with this! I do it and it works well!)
  45. Reflect on your day
  46. Always find something to get excited about
  47. Tell someone you love them 
  48. Cleanse your mind of negative thoughts & worries before you go to sleep
  49. Keep your mind open to new ideas
  50. Work on patience
  51. Wear clothes you feel confident in
  52. Be fully yourself
  53. Remind yourself of why you are worthy of love, success, & happiness
  54. Think of 3 things you love about yourself
  55. Think of things you want to improve about yourself (& work on them! For me, patience is it!)
  56. Keep inspiration close to you

  57. Affirm yourself that you can make your dream possible
  58. Work on achieving your dream, whatever it may be (Ex. A certain vacation, starting a successful blog, etc.!)
  59. Respond to all your messages
  60. Dance to positive music
  61. Focus on smiling more
  62. Seek positivity in everything
  63. Organize your room 
  64. Listen to a new song
  65. Allow yourself time to think
  66. Say yes to new opportunities
  67. Plan to do things that will make you happy
  68. Go on an adventure of some sort (Even to the basement if that’s what it takes lol!)
  69. Write down negative thoughts & throw them away
  70. Learn something new
  71. Be more intentional
  72. Allow yourself to feel emotions
  73. Surround yourself with positivity and positive people
  74. Do something that will make you feel fulfilled
  75. Never end a day in an argument or feeling negative
